This is NOT from "The Visitors" album, it's from the album they were following it up with in 1982 called "Opus 10". Thought everyone KNEW this! And what kind of analysis is this: "It's not totally bad". ABBA don't do bad, and certainly not in 1982! Chart stats mean nothing. BAD is slagdonna, Pariah Carey, dodgy old farts that managed to go through the 80s from the 70s like Sting, Paul Weller, Phil Collins and Madness. BAD is Bee Gees much of the time, and S/A/W and c/rap and virtually everything since the 90s onwards. Bet you'd NEVER use that term for something like Muckdonna that IS truly bad. If this ABBA at their 'worst'-we want and need more of it. I find it unsurprising that, as wonderful as their 2021 unpredictable return was, nothing of this standard or nature was anywhere in evidence. That's fine, it's not 1982 any more, sadly, but for their swan song, it's still not being treated the way it should be. Loads of big stars went down in quality over the years, whether their fanbases changed or not, but ABBA never did. In fact, that unfinished 1982 album would have been one of their best, and if you add the CHESS singles to it, plus the best audio-fan made 'Gone Just Like That'-it IS complete.

ABBA have been experimental for a while. How does this NOT sound like ABBA? This is ABBA perfectly embracing the new cold brilliant sound of the early 80s! If you don't get excited for this, makes me wonder what you do feel thrilled for. I mean it sounds like you get many of them, but it seems to me it's too easy to go against this kind of song, which others did at the time. Abba 1982 completely went past people's heads, like they kind of were in 1981. This song is bloody great and as it's from one of their best periods, it's actually more important than many other earlier ones. Yes, this is a stalker song, and someone DID stalk her in the 90s. So it becomes a very frightening song. And a very cool one too.

I discovered and found Ko Eun Sung's version admirable because he sings in a language that is not his own. However, I find that the vocal technique is too audible. Daniel Levi had achieved such mastery that one has the impression that he sang it without any particular difficulty. His version generates the same emotion each time while Ko Eun Sung's version left me wanting more.

Love Dana Dawson! I bought this wonderful album when it first came out in the early 90s. There's a lot of great songs in it. Made minor waves in my home country Australia...but a few years later she has a MASSIVE club hit with 3 Is Family (Dancing Divas Remix). It was INESCAPABLE back in the Sydney gay clubs back in the late 90s. It became an adopted gay athem of sorts due us boys reinterpreting the lyrics as 2 gay men + their dog is our "3 is Family". Look the song up if u haven't already. Total club bop!

When she became famous, in the 70s and 80s, she was defined as transgressive, for the way she dressed, danced and often for the themes of her songs, and then became one of the most loved icons in Italy and other countries. May she rest in peace... no one will ever forget her.

Imagine getting this to number 2 in August 1982, only for a cover by a barbershop quartet to get Christmas Number One a few months later 😅!

The guy who sang this is Bill Medley he was the other half of the righteous Brothers. I think you reacted to two of their songs unchained Melody was Bobby's song and then they did a Duo which was one of many but it was You've Lost that Loving Feeling back in 1964/1965. Sadly back in the day, blacks had their radio and they would not play Righteous Brothers because they were white and the white stations would not play them because they said they were black music. So Unchained Melody even though it was a huge hit with people never got played on the radio that much and only became a classic hit when ghost in 1990 came out the movie. And then Bill medley records I've had the Time of My Life had no idea that what it was for that I was going to be on the soundtrack of Dirty Dancing. He goes away for about a month comes back and it's number one in the world. Just find it so weird that these guys need something in the 60s became popular in the late '80s and 1990.
